MV Agusta F4 2015 makes 210hp

210hp from 175kg for customer version of new F4 Superbike

A NEW MV Agusta F4 for will make 210hp and weigh just 175kg, the Italian manufacturer has revealed in a presentation to journalists.

Pictures of the new F4 taken at the presentation are circulating online, including this one, from Italian bike website Motoblog.it.

They clearly show specifications of a customer version of a new F4 to be raced in World Superbikes next year. The 2015 model weighs a claimed 8% less than the current F4 RR, which suggest the 175kg is a dry-weight figure.

With 210hp - 9hp more than the current F4 RR - that gives it a power-to-weight ratio of 1.2hp/kg, one of the best available in any production motorcycle. BMW's new S1000RR makes a claimed 199hp and weighs 204kg fuelled.

The F4 has a new cylinder head, crankshaft and camshafts, with lighter pistons and titanium connecting rods, according to Motoblog. The suspension is from Öhlins and the exhaust from Termignoni.

It's already got lots of carbon fibre and magnesium parts but more are available, along with a full titanium exhaust, in an optional 'racing kit'.

It's due to be unveiled at the Eicma Milan motorcycle show on November 4.
