Intermot 2014 new Suzuki VStrom 650XT unveiled

More offroad focused Weestrom gets beak and adventure styling

SUZUKI has just unveiled this V-Strom 650XT, a more off-road focused version of the standard bike.

The firm say they have developed the bike to be versatile, comfortable and more friendly by fitting the XT with wire-spoked aluminium wheels and giving it more adventurous styling and a wider range of accessories.

According to Suzuki, the new front break is a nod to the 1988 DR-Z ridden by former motocross world champion Gaston Rahier at the Paris-Dakar Rally. Suzuki says its distinctive beak-like front cowl design had a major impact on motorcycle design.

Wheel sizes are the same as the current model, 19” up front and a 17” rear designed to be used with tubeless tyres.

Pricing is yet to be announced.
