AP Source: Astros to hire A.J. Hinch as manager

A day after finishing their 70-92 season, the Astros will have a "significant announcement" at 5:30 p.m. Monday.

It is expected that the Astros will name their next manager after Bo Porter was fired on Sept. 1. A.J. Hinch has won the job, according to the Associated Press.

Hinch has previous managerial experience with the Arizona Diamondbacks, a job he held from 2009-2010.
