Ninja H2 Video Teaser - The Kawasaki River Mark Returns
It helps to have an Editor In Chief with a keen eye for detail who is also a pilot with a knowledge of aircraft engines. He spotted this photo of a River Mark valve cover and identified the engine that appears at the 13-second mark of the H2 teaser video as a GO/GSO 480 helicopter engine. The "S" in GSO stands for...you guessed it...supercharged.
If you're not a fan of teasers, forewarned is forearmed; this is definitely a teaser, the fifth in Kawasaki's crescendo of suspense and anticipation (or is that expectation?) for the supercharged Ninja H2. You've heard the engine at full twist, faintly whining and chirping as a force-inducted powerplant is known to do. If you haven't heard it, stop reading and CLICK HERE .
You've also seen it, at least in silhouette form, and it appears to be the meanest looking Ninja to wear lime green (we assume). Ever. And now our attention is drawn to what seems to be the badge that will adorn the Ninja H2 in some form. In less than 60 seconds and without a word spoken, this latest H2 video gives us a visual backstory on the Kawasaki River Mark, an emblem with at least as much history as the H2 has. And for those of you younger-generation riders who have never had the pleasure of being scared out of your wits from a full-throttle blast on Kawasaki's two-stroke 750cc triple, we hope that a new bike deemed worthy of the H2 badge will let you experience this sheer acceleration in much the same way. Until then, we're in exactly the same state of anxiety as you are. We can't wait.
