Austin Riders or Austin Sportbike Forum???

Looking to do a little riding in/around Austin this Saturday morning/afternoon (May 19th). Anyone viewing from Austin want to ride Sat? If not, does anyone know of an good Austin sportbike forum I can post up on? Looking for 1 or 2 other riders to show me the local Austin routes.

If not, I'll download a few routes and go exploring solo.

Thanks for the links everyone.

Doc - thanks for the offer, but I won't get in town 'till late in the afternoon today, and I'm not big on night riding.

I'm definitely going to hit lime creek. I rode through once (as a passenger) in my buds WRX on the Sat before Easter (cold and rainy). Looks fun, but lots of driveways and a little gravel in spots, so I'll be keeping the speeds reasonable.

Sounds like the right frame of mind. Take is EASY on Lime Creek. Construction, gravel, cops, residnets. Not as good of a ride as it used to be.

If you are up for it I'll be showing up for an early ride that meets at Hwy 360/Bee Caves at the gas station on the SW corner. Just be advised it is a group of veteran riders and the BMWs will probably outnumber the Japanese bikes handily. Those dudes can haul. Lots of K bikes and a couple of GS riders. We ride to breakfast in Blanco and then guys/groups split up to ride where they want to. They meet between 7 and 7:30 am. KSU at 7:30. If you don't have full gear, you'll be the only one. Spirited but safe pace.

That sounds like the ticket - I'll plan on being there between 7-7:15 then. Full gear is no problem. If the pace gets to fast for me though, I'll just bug out.

Me and a few guys thinking about going down there too from Dallas. We will be on fm2222 then to the roads to Oasis for break and around the Mt.Bonnell. It sucks that they close the road down and make you pay $9 to see it or pass thru it.
