Ducati Monster S4 ECU Question
I am trying to diagnose if the ecu on my 2002 Ducati Monster S4 is on the fritz. I am looking to buy another OEM ecu to test out but I am not sure how the immobilizer system would work with the replacement ecu.
I have the key card, the red key, and both black keys. I've seen people mentioning that the dash and ignition is married, but where does the ECU fit into the immobilizer equation?
My gut feeling that me ECU is faulty because I am not able to connect to the ECU with JPDiag consistently. The program becomes slow and unresponsive. I tried the software on my friends Monster 620 and it connected perfectly.
