Rider down. I-45 and hardy. On site.

Rider ok. Bike is trashed. Say a prayer for this guy. He got jacked with by a cager. Helmet, no other gear. Looks like a broken collarbone.

Yeah. Rider was riding aggressively. I can't be 100% sure whether the cager legitimately needed to stop quickly or if he did it because of the way he was riding. There is a lot of construction right there and traffic was acting wonky trying to figure it out.

But lets define "aggressively" .. moving through traffic and some stupid cage decided he was the traffic police ... or asshat was splitting lanes at 60mph while traffic was going 10-20 mph.

I ride defensively moving around .. I take a more aggressive approach to moving through traffic to get to a clear riding path. That is because people feel the need to cut people off, place their car in my buffer zone between me and the car in front of me, and just do not look while they talk on their phones/text/facebook.

The traffic in this work area for Grandparkway is horrible. I live right there. No matter what the rider did ... cage using the car to end it is unacceptable.

I agree. Probably hard to explain it though. Cager can just say he had to stop which will put the "failure to control speed" on the guy getting brake cheked.

Agreed. What can appear aggressive to a car can be just normal to a motorcycle since we don't require as much room to maneuver.

I would use Remcycle as a witness and have him testify as to the driver's brake checking (if that's what he saw) and then use that against his insurance company.

But, then again, I'm pretty good at that sort of thing.

If you're going to ride like an , at least do it near the lane line so you can split that .
