My guess is 1-2 hrs labor, $140-$160 for just the rear shock

It's a relatively easy job, do the $ saved can go to something else

Honda quoted me $400, to replace 6 plugs. $100 &1hr later I'm done, New gun on the way e the savings.

If they charged you more than an hour of labor then they are way overcharging you. Rear shock is a 10 minute job.

Shops go by a flat rate. Not how long it actually takes

And the flat rate for swapping a rear shock on a grom should be an hour and only because a lot of shops have a 1 hr min.

I never said it's up to us, just my opinion of what it should be. Racerx was quoted that for spark plugs on what I'm assuming is something besides a grom.

Also most shops will use an industry standard book to determine the number of hours they can bill for a customer. At least from the mechanics I've talked to.

Not sure what sexual orientation has to do with it but pretty sure my wife could swap it back to stock and then back to ohlins in less than an hour and she is mechanically declined.

I have to admit, I've got pretty serious Grom envy. Blanco came and rode his with us on our video shoot for the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride promo video, so there's a grom that shows up in that.

And all I said was the standardized book should say 1 hr for a grom shock. If it doesn't then spend less in gas and I'll swap it for free.
