Thumbs up Jay Newton's Cresson Thanks!!!

Round 6 of the 2014 CMRA points championship was a tough one for Jay Newton. The JAB Motorsports LLC racer struggled with bike set-up in practice early on Friday. After destroying a set of tires, he was forced to park the bike and save his new tires for the races on Sunday. With only a half day of track time, his team new it would be a difficult task to get the bike working properly for Newton in the two brief warm-up sessions on Sunday morning. They did there best, and he told them it was getting better, but he still lacked feel in the front. This would plague him throughout the F1 qualifying and his first two races. In his first race of the day, C Superstock, Jay would manage a respectable P5 finish to salvage points for the season. Qualifying P11 for F1 was not the confidence booster Newton was looking for earlier, but he was able to advance his start position by 3 and finish P8. After a few more suspension and chassis changes, he again broke into the top 5 in C Superbike by taking P5 at the checkers. In his last race of the day, Heavy Weight Rookie Expert, he had a great start and disappeared from the rest of the field. He would cross the line P1 by a margin of 14 seconds, and also run his fastest lap of the day. Thanks to JAB Motorsports for all the support, as well as P1 Racing, South Central Race Center, Kawasaki Team Green, Red River Motorsports, JRI, Galfer USA, PSR, Arai, Shorai, Sidi, Vortex, Silkolene, SpeedMob, Woodcraft Cfm, Armour Bodies, Impact Safe-t Armor, DynoJet, Lone Star Track Days, Texas Tornado Boot Camp.
