Don't buy this bike. I know the entire history of it.

Best friend of mine bought it with under 2k miles on it from a fellow who passed away. It was mint, not a scratch on it. Stole it from the widow for $1800 (her price, not his). All the tasteful mods where done. Renazco seat, fcr41 carb, full big gun exhaust (performing exhaust btw).

My friend beat the out of it, tossed it around, rode it for about 7k and sold it to me (for $1800) after almost killing himself from this wreck:

When I got it, I continued to beat the out of it, broke the speedo cable from multiple mile long wheelies. Oil always spewed out of the breather hose all over the road when doing stand ups (hilarious).

My friend found his nuts again, and wanted his bike back. Per our agreement, I sold it back to him for $1800. He continued to beat the out of it. He looped it out really hard one time, destroying the rear end and bending the out of the subframe. We bent it back with a 2x4. He RHINO lined the shrouds, dont let that guy tell you it is that peel off paint, it is not. It ain't ever coming off.

It started giving my friend electrical issues, and he was tired of messing with it. I had no room for anymore bikes, so I couldn't buy it off of him. He sold it to this guy in Austin for $1,000!!!!! All it needed was some $80 part (ignition i think?), the owner bragged about it on Supermotojunkie.

That bike has WAAAAAAAAY more than 11k miles. I trolled him a bit via text, and he lied about multiple things.

Stay away from that bike. It was a good while it lasted, but she is WORE out!

Please don't spread rumors about things you don't know. The bike had electrical issues, it needed a new cdi & new coil. Cdi runs upwards of $300+ but the coil was probably $80. Runs like a champ now. I just took it out for a spin yesterday. Don't be jealous cause I figured out how to fix a bike with electrical issues & I'm trying to get what it's worth. Lol... Some people.

Not spreading any rumors. Like I said, I owned that bike and I know where it came from. I was texting you about it a few weeks ago acting dumb. I didn't appreciate the lies you were telling me lol.

You accusing me of lies of a bike that I owned is ridiculous. CDI's run upwards of $300 bucks, sure, but used... no.

Hey man, I've been around LC4's for a long time. They are amazing machines, however, your for sale thread and selling techniques are shady to say the least.

You said it was plastidipped, it was rhino lined. You said it has 11k miles, but yet you have no idea how many miles are on it. Not sure if that was the same Q2 that I installed 2 years ago (I put "200 miles" on that tire about 30 minutes after I put it on). You're accusing me of spreading rumors? I've ridden that bike 10 fold than you!

You'll sell it, don't worry. I just won't stand here and let someone get fooled by you and the history of it. If you were honest, that would be fair game sir.

And no, don't spread rumors about me being jealous. That is sloppy seconds (or thirds, depending on how you look at it) to me. I just didn't have room for a 3rd bike at the time. I told him it was electrical, he didn't listen and was broke and frustrated.

Good day sir, my flame suit is on, so go ahead and pound that keyboard!

First whoever told you it's rhino lined is dumb. I've never seen rhino liner peel off before. I've plastidipped the rims on my other bike, I know what it looks like. I've had an f150 w/ rhino liner , I know what that looks like. It's plastidip. Cdi was brand spanking new when installed, ordered from munn racing. Still have the ktm box it came in from munn. Rear tire was purchased & installed through flash motorbikes here in Austin. Not the one that was on the bike when I got it. The old one was showing cord. This one is unmistakably new. PO told me there was about 10k miles on it... & I doubt I have ridden it more than 1k. I have absolutely nothing to hide. I welcome anyone to test ride and see for themselves how this bike performs. Both magicman & mr f were on the sumo ride in Austin & can attest to how she held up.

All your doing is making libel.

Good day.

No libel here. I had the spray can of Rhino Lining in my hand, not freakin plastidip. So I didn't "hear" that it was rhino lined by anyone. I did it as a joke with my friend about 2 years ago in my storage unit after he looped it out hard. We even sprayed the tail section without removing it from the bike.

I have nothing against you, or your sale. This wasn't your for sale thread, the OP was asking for opinions on certain bikes and I gave mine. I'm sure it's still an OK running bike, I was just stating the facts. Facts about what the bike has been through, and how you misinterpreted a few things via text to myself about two weeks ago.

Sounds to me that Chris is on his way to pick it up. Congrats on the sale.

Here are a few pics in case if you think i'm full of . I have a bunch more if you're curious in more history lessons.

Here she was in all her glory... mint :-)

And after a couple mishaps and oopsies

After a 2x4 on the subframe and some fresh "R-LINE" lol. Good as new!

I'm not a liar ;-)

If you haven't pulled the trigger yet...

http://www.motohouston.com/forums/sh...ghlight=xr400r

I'm 6 foot 260lbs.

This 400 is a fast 400 and would do you fine.

I've owned a few LC4's, can't go wrong with them, but if kick only (like one of mine was) get ready to spend an afternoon getting used to a left handed kick start. Once you get it, it's a breeze.

The 400 is like kicking over an XR100.\

Since you'll be commuting, I'd stay away from high strug water cooled 450's or 650's.

A good LC4 would work well though.
