How to make a grown man cry

To many on this board, winning a CMRA race is old hat. Not for me. I did some counting and this past weekend was my 8th weekend of racing. I have been on the podium a few times, even crashed out of the lead. I thought I would never win a race as every year, the kids just keep getting faster.

Well, I did a bit of fitness and put a few bucks into the bike.

This past weekend, one 2nd, and two (yes 2) wins.

When I crossed the line in F2 Novice, I almost spontaeously combusted. Team EDS were at Sugar and Spice and they could hear me screaming inside my helmet. By the time I got to The Launch I was in tears. At the bus stop, I was sobbing like a little girl. Diamonds Edge, squealing and giddy like a 12 year old school girl. When I got back to the pits, there were man hugs all around. My son was there too, which made it even more special.

So, if you are getting close to the front....keep pushing because the joy of winning is worth every ****ing bead of sweat and hard earned dollar spent.

Oh, then I went out in F40, took the holeshot and clicked off :49s, led wire to wire on my 14 year old SV. I was cool as a cucumber this time......yeah right

When in doubt....gas it. It might not solve the problem, but it WILL end the suspense!
