Thumbs down My first wreck

Its nothing to be proud about, but thought i'd post it up anyway. The bike started like no damage occured to it. I took a quick turn on a left, saw the strip of water too late on my lean, straightend up immediately and breaked for all i could:

Its a camera phone so....

For most people, first wreck happens less than 6 months, less than 30 mph.
Assume you are one of them.
Glad the damage's minor.
Learn from your lesson.
Time to think about more protective gear.

Don't feel bad man. It happens. Glad to hear you and your bike are ok. I haven't gone down yet on mine but I hear up and get ready for it everytime I ride. I try to keep myself in my limits but one of these days, I know something will take me down whether its unexpected poor road conditions or some of these maniac drivers on the road. I just hope I'm ok and the bike is ok to talk about it. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to go down but its a risk you take everytime you ride.

it was on a green light left turn only so everyone was stopped. Once i hit that pavement going 10 with 139 lbs of force, i got back up and 2 people came to see if i was ok...my immediate concern was my bike since i felt no pain nor were my limbs dislocated. It took all my might to pick that bike up. I'm surprised it took only the damage you see on the picture...the only other obvious scrape was the handle bar and clutch...the kick stand and the exhaust...this all saved the rest of the paint. I'm getting hungry.....>_>

Good your ok.

But that just looks like a classic case of carpet burn, I have gotten worse than that on my bathroom floor.
