Thumbs down Bye bye 954

As some of you know, we were in a car accident last Saturday. My back is jacked up. I am going through testing to see what the problem is. Fracture, ruptured disc, and herniated disc are possibilities. Also, my shoulder hurts, and left hand is numb.

I was unable to work this week, and won't be able to for who knows how long. I don't have paid time off. The bike is the first thing to go. I wouldn't be able to ride for a while, anyway (if ever).

I will be putting a for sale post up tomorrow. I was hoping to get around $5000. Very clean bike, almost 100% showroom stock, and around 15k miles.

I hate to sell it, but happens.

It isn't, but $10,000 in medical bills this summer plus about $6000 of lost work so far since June has taken its toll.

She is banged up, too. Not that bad off. She is in pain, but back to work. I guess the woman that caused it is fine. Both cars probably totaled. We will make it, I just need to trim down a toy or two. There will always be a million bikes for sale.

Sorry to hear, you've had a year. :(

As far as the medical bills go, they will always negotiate. Hospitals tend to have buffers in the form of benefactors (you know, those names you see on the buildings). So, they get to use that money to offset unpaid medical bills and will negotiate to at least use part of that on your bills. I've heard that is the reasoning they will negotiate, but I do know for sure they will negotiate.

That sucks no short or long term disability ?? I work contract also but I have long term, just in case of something like this. Fig I can pay an easy 3 months of bills if I had to. Good luck, will you still retain your job or will they let you go ?

I think I will still have my job waiting. ThEy love me there. That being said, deadlines have to be met.

This might be the worst pain I have ever felt. More than having 2 discs torn in half, and 3 vertebrae fused.

This is also 2 weeks after finding Sara has a hole in her heart, and one week after finding she has a cyst on the pineal gland (center of the brain) that is pretty much inoperable. It has been a fun summer in the Beecher house.

You both are great people.

I'm sry for the events of the year interrupting the joy of life.

It is a beautiful bike, but we all have more memories and laughs of the bikes then on. And when things come to it, we'll make some more on the bikes once again.

Best of wishes to you both. U have my number if u need me.

MRIs tomorrow. I hope no surgery needed. Been there, done that. Selling the bike isn't a big deal. There will always be plenty of CBRs out there, if I can ride again.

Just got word. Sonata is totaled.

Don't pay any medical bills until you have the total so you can negotiate with the them! Otherwise the bills won't stop coming... You can ask around...
