New and noobie here seeking advices/opinions

Hey guys, I'm already in the Import Car scene and i've always been fascinated by bikes so I'm thinking of getting one soon for school and work/fun riding but need advices and opinions.

Im leaning towards the Honda CBR 600 due to my size 5'11 & 230 lbs. Young, big and tall guy here lol. This is more of a Finance bike options help.

I know for a fact that used ones are way cheaper but I really don't want to get a loan for a private sale or private loan due to crazy interest rates. Doing payments on a private sale is rare since most owner looking for quick cash only, so I was just wondering if anybody knows at-least a decent reasonable Bike dealer that I can finance? I just rather finance than getting a loan. & Has a good amount of used bikes but most likely looking for CBR 600. I will take the course before I ride on the streets btw lol.

Sorry for the long post, every help is appreciated before I make a decision and hope not to regret it lol.

a personal loan through a credit union will probably be your best bet if you have to finance it. a good size down payment will also help your intrest rate/payment

You can get an SV650 for like 3k in good condition... and its a better starter bike. But Welcome to MH.
If I can't eat it, race it or sleep with it then whats the point?

What he said. I paid $1800 for my '94 ZX6 about two years ago. DO NOT get a fixer upper, though. Bike parts are expensive.

Someone correct me if Im wrong but isnt Financing the same as getting a loan? No one is going to let you pay them for a bike in payments without somehow making more money off of it...Either way DO NOT get a Yamaha card or Kawasaki good times credit card or what ever the dealers try and make you get through the Manufacturer. Unless you can pay it off in 6 months I highly recommend you stay away from them.....

First some money and buy a used one cash.....

Credit union, no dealer programs, save, pay cash.

Insurance is going to cost you more than a bike over 2 years if you are young and you finance. Just something to consider. You will be required to carry it. It can easily be 1500-2500 a year. Look into insurance before you really think about financing

Credit union then buy from a private seller. If you get a used bike from a dealer opposed to a new one cause its cheaper might not be so cheap cause on the new one you might get a 2% interest rate for 60 mos on the used one it might be higher for 48 mos and you still come out losing

Appreciate the help guys. I'll look into the gear, course, insurance, and the credit union and see how much it will end up, which I'm pretty sure is expensive but I'll take everything slow. Don't want to rush into debt lol but thanks guys. Hope to ride soon and meet some of you guys!
