Just from looking at the map, Bastrop is a pretty good ride. Spending the night somewhere or leaving early?

Garmin Mapsource - best $100 I ever spent on my bike.
MS Streets & Trips - $30-$40

It's easy enough to zoom in on map areas in Google and just copy them over to Paint or PhotoShop:

I've got a good Bastrop route if y'all need it, but it's at home and I'm at work. I'll post it up later tonight.

Average speed is typically higher than estimated, but keep in mind the route doesn't add stops for gas, late starts, or a meal once we get there (we do get to eat, right?)

I can typically pull 30-45 minutes off a route easily. If we get going early it's absolutely do-able. Who wants to have a picnic in the park?

I was including a gas/snack stop in my estimate...

That Bastrop ride looks like a nice alternative to the "Fayetteville Loop"

Just have to find a way back that doesn't retrace, altho that wouldn't be all that bad.

Yep, I am. Our firewall blocks just about all the image hosting sites. I can see attachments, but not imbedded.

Feel free to email... :notworthy
