For those that don't know..

Both DuHamel and Zemke ran out of gas during the Daytona 200

Gee, i wonder how that'll boost up the Honda CBR RR sales for 07-08?

I could imagine that with all the focus on the racing... there probably not paying as much attention to there gas consumption as they should... that sucks though... im glad my dinosaur (sp?) of a bike has a fuel gauge... def saved me pushing the friggin sled to the next fillup station...

No Not Yet. It seems every one wants a track bike, but nobody has the $$$, and the ones that have the $$$ already have a dedicated track bike.

I know i'll be back with another dedicated track bike as well , just gotta sell all my toys for now

I would never buy a bike without a title!

The bike has a clear title. The title comes with the purchase of the bike.
Its a dedicated bike, it has the wiring to turn it back to street, but comes with no lights, and i would not recommend that, it has over $2500 spent in upgrades from full micron system, scotts stablizer, ohlins shock etc - and its really meant as a track bike. I'd be pretty upset if somebody bought it and turned it back to street form!

:BangHead: haha... well I mean the only reason I would do that is because well I gotta get to work so I can make the money to take it to the track... but I guess I shouldn't try and get it then cause if it's all ready for a track then yea... street probably would be a bad idea..I would only need to go to work more to pay for tickets... but not really... cause I don't speed...

You can easily find a 99-02 SV650 for $2800-3200 in street form, it won't have any of those goodies on my track bike, but then again it won't need those goodies either - its for the street right?

I just want a 600... something newer then my 93... one.. because 1000 is only needed on the highway imo... and 2 cause it's heavy as F$#K.... if I could once I get it all fixed up... 600 and something dollars from now... I wanna just trade it if anyone is wanting to trade for an older 1000... Its a great bike and screams down the highway but it's just too heavy for me... and i like draggin knee....

(edit)... yea it's for the street but also for the track... well as soon as I get some new leathers anyways...

or some leathers period...:eh:

For the clones knocking the brand or riders for "not paying attention" or whatever, I'd seriously doubt they have fuel lights on there- they rely on testing data and mapping to determine how long they can run at each track with XX gallons of fuel.

If it weren't a pump problem or some other mechanical issue, and was only that they "ran out of gas", don't you think they would just fill up and get back out?

If it would have been a standard length FX race, the Kawi's wouldn't have won it, likely, it would have been Honda, Honda, and Suzuki.

Funny Moe', didn't see the R6's up there... hmmmmmm :keke:

Proabably what the techs said to take blame off themselves for the mapping. They do run the gas to the minimal before pitting.
