I don't worry anymore, my bike is legal and the only thing I can be pulled over for is speeding.

I've seen DPS in a in an unmarked silver Stratus Issueing citations @Shenandoah and I-45. The entire state of Texas is a speed trap!!!

Yup after the last ride up there I agree with Noctem, the forest is a no go zone for the near and distant future. It's about time we explore some new roads anyway.

A couple of weekends ago I saw no less than 5 cop cars on 1458 (i.e., Brookshire, racer's road).

...maybe im incubating the wrong mentality here but its getting harder and harder not to run...however i will never sell my bike because of cops. if i sell, thats just one more victory for them. and that i cannot allow.

I was just coming home and on Hwy 6 between Clay and I-10 there was a cop sitting off of the road near some trees right across from the Cemetery and Little Ranch back there. It was my first time seeing him there, but I doubt it was his first cause it seemed like It would of took him a little while to get positioned b/t the trees.

Yup, I make that exact trip every weekend...Brenham PD have not been out as much but I think they are going for the "lull you to sleep thing"...stop writing tickets for a few weeks, let folks get comfortable and then start um right back up. I'd say the BIG left and right (to get back on 36) after Caldwell down the 45-50 mph road would constitute as a speed trap, I see folks stopped there every Friday afternoon and Sunday night. Also, they write lots-O-tickets in the Cameron area.(No DD for non-residents)

Yo Dub you ever ride FM 2484 in Killeen? 18 miles of pure black-top curves...NO COPS :icon_bigg , you do however have to watch for the on coming cars, gravel (which can catch you on the hard turn 3 on the way in), etc...

To add to this.... right after you come over the hill on Hwy 6 @ Park Row going north, cops hide on the shoulder with their lights COMPLETELY OFF!!!! No joke people!!! You CANNOT SEE THEM until you pass them and their lights come on! And I have seen them do it all the way to clay rd. (This is obviously only at night... but still, look out!)

Does anyone remember when Iowa Colony (on 288) had a police department? The little town didn't even touch 288, but they ran their city limit out to the highway in several short segments just so they could write tickets. That was the most blatant speed trap I've ever seen.

If you look up Iowa Colony on Wikipedia, the first thing it says is that it was a speed trap!
