Back in the Game

Hey all,

I'm back on the saddle again, after my wreck last year that left me needing surgery and totaling my bike.

Switching it up a little. Many of you probably remember my golden Daytona 675.
*Old Bike* RIP

I'm moving away from sport bikes, kinda.

This time I ended up with a 2010 Triumph Thruxton. Its a fun little bike, and after some extra goodies with be a blast.

I hope to see some new and familiar faces soon!

Ah, I like the classic style of the Thrux. I hear they can be improved a lot in the handling department. Betcha my Goose is faster!

Ciao baby!

Thanks for all the WB's.

I already installed a full exhaust the same week I bought the bike. Installed woodcraft clip-ons today. I have a ohlins rear suspension on order with some other fun parts.

My plan is to either build the stock front suspension or replace it with that of a Daytona or other sport bike.

Thoughts?

They really handle close to a sports bike. Very low center of gravity. And very nimble.

DF,

One of the very positive aspects of the Triumph Bonnies: a huge supply of after market farkles and other performance goodies. By comparison the Guzzis have very little available. I came close to buying a Thruxton, but backed away due to weight and general ponderance compared to my V7R. I also was not a big fan of the Stafford dealership and intense sales tactics.

Attached is a pix of my V7R. I added a Dart flyscreen (not shown), I highly recommend their screens. Also is a pix of my buddy Mitch's restored Bonnie.

Enjoy your bike, I think you have a real gem!
