My F7 bike pulled in about 3 hours into the 4 hour endurance. Jim said it just lost power. We kicked it over and heard metal clanking around inside, assumed the worst and packed up for the day.
I went out today to see how bad it was and found this under the valve cover:
You can see the intake valve was missing the little adjuster nut:
Put it back together, set the clearances and it seems good as new. The adjuster backing out would just keep the valve from opening much if any, so there shouldn't be any piston/valve damage to worry about right?
Guess this means no cheater head and big bore for the next race. Sorry Obed and Jim I should have at least popped the valve cover at the track and maybe we could have held on to 1st place in 7 novice. I was still shaking out the cobwebs from smacking my head earlier, so maybe it was best we called it a day.
