new traffic circle, First Colony, SL
Well after five months waiting and waiting and waiting....it appears to be open. We have a new traffic circle in our neighborhood. For all these months we have had constipation getting into and out of Crescent Lakes.
My wife says great, and we will see if the crappy local drivers can deal with it. The bridge to Telfair is not open yet. I think there will be quite a bit of hazard here: no stops, just yields and they will water the intersection and keep it wet, and part of it is brick, and then there are pedestrians.
So, I am going to ride on it tomorrow, but I will be wary of the cagers. When the bridge is open, and those coming downhill from Telfair want to blast through, then the real fun will begin.
I bet the little old ladies from wherever will really get confused now.
Round and round we go!

they are roundabouts....and they do ease congestion. I assume it is large like the one on Washington/Wescott. They work well once people know how to use them.

I've been trying for months to get my knee down on the one by my house but cars keep showing up and not yielding.

I live right by the Washington/Westcott circle, and love it. It took quite a while for the cagers to figure it out, though - be patient. Maybe a year.
