How Close *~HE ACTUALLY CALLED ME~*

WOW !!!!!
The guy actually called !!!!
I just got off the phone with him.
The adjuster is coming out Tuesday!

He said he's a little short and he dropped his cell phone. When he reached down for it he thought he was stepping on the brake - but he actually hit the eggzillerator. By time he looked up - -

blam blam blam

- - - - - too late!

So there are still some responsible people in this land!!! Kudos Dood! I think it was honorable of him.

all's well that ends well. Don't forget to tell them about the original Picasso that was in one of the frames that was ruined.

Don't mean to be negative but don't count your eggs until they hatch - that is to say, until you get a check. There have been threads on here before about hit/runs (granted, not as extreme as yours) where somehow, someway the perpetrator weaseled there way out of it.

Because he was drunk.

Sleep it off and make it right in the morning with No DWI charges.

I hope you notified the police with his information. Drunk or not, he still fled the scene of a crime. As you stated, he even had to make a couple of turns and wait for a security gate to open, he knew what he had done. Turn his in, people that flee are almost as bad as thieves.

I talked to him for about 15 minutes on the phone. Not really long enough to get intimate - LOL, but he seemed like he has half a brain. I am concerned about the insurance guy showing up an me not being there so he said he would make sure I got a call when they were on the way. There's a lot of damaged custom paint that I don't think he understands. And yes, I'm worried about the "we don't cover THAT" clause.

I agree, I think he went somewhere else to sleep off the potential DWI. It happened on private property so I don't know how that plays into it either. There was no one around except me so about the only person he could have contacted was the police and being that it's private property I don't know what would have come of it. Lots of possibilities - - - so I figure he looked around and asked himself, "Who do I tell? Well, I'll just call in the morning."

I'm just a little anxious because it's all boarded up and I can't get to the bikes. Maybe it's better if I don't mess up "scene of the crime".
