Truth. When I divorced, the increase was explained to me by the insurance company, so I left it. My ex's name still appears on my insurance policies, although he's not a covered driver - it says he's an excluded driver.

PERIOD.
This. I have Progressive and wouldn't change for anything - not even a savings at this point. Have had them for nearly nine years and even in the event of an accident, they have gone over and above to repair/replace everything. Also, my policy has decreased every year, rather than increase, and I now have large accident forgiveness.

Yes. This. Married, but excluded.

Hey Jeff, like Lucar said, hit him up for our agent's information from Statefarm. We had progressive before for the car and bikes, but unfortuantely they couldn't get us as good of a rate when he got the HP4. One thing progressive does really well is combining policies for discounts, you might be surprised.

Explain the risk in a known quanity customer? There is not one.
Sorry but your under the assumption that they care about you or your situation. Its a business in business to make $... .by changing your data you change your status and what groups you fall in...

But ya go with state farm. They have been the best for me.

I had to fire my agent yesterday becuase my rates went up $300 a year. No tickets, no claims, no accidents, and clean driving records...only explaination was that there have been more claims and fraud and they are passing the buck on to us. You would be surprised what these insurance companies know about all us. When I was getting my quotes they were able to get my wifes drivers license # with mine. I told them what vehicles I owned and were able to pull up vin numbers, lien holders, and if the vehicles had loss detection devices. I asked the agent how the did you know all this about me! With 2% more taken out of our checks now you have to save where you can. Try calling Renae at TexasCycleInursance, just tell them you bought your bike from Houston Motorsports. I had Foremost on my R1. Good luck.

If u cant find the same rate....add her back on. F it. Keep ur money in ur wallet.
Giving them that 1200 is like giving her the 1200.
