Good for Ben getting a ride. Iannone as well.

I was watching the "semi-recent" race where Spies' motor bit the dust down the front straight (Indy) and the announcers were talking about his lack of trust/luck with Yamaha.

Same race they talk about Rossi's winning on everything BUT Ducati.

It'll be interesting to see where the successes lie... rider or manufacturer.

So 2 years of results and your sorry it had to be a ducati? Comical at best, as it seems Ben didn't mind. Don't worry obed, as long as you value your opinion , then that's all that matters.

true, to me anyway...Did Ben want to ride for Ducati, or was that where the ride was? Ducati has not done very well with the talent they had, i just hate to see Ben have the same issues...maybe the new management will get behind him and see that he has what he needs, the track record on that has not been too good...as to my opinion, you need not worry, i value it enough for both of us.

Yeah, for Ben Yamaha->Ducati seems like it would be out of the frying pan, into the fire. I wish him the best of luck! Glad he's not giving motorcycle racing the finger entirely & disappearing into bicycle racing or something.

But now VW Audi group will be backing them.

Maybe not as much as the factory team, but its something.

I like Iannone too because he's a wild man.

Better engineering, or better monetary backing?
Either one would work

True, and knows they've been getting their handed to them in FIA for several years with all of the other LMPs as well.

Monetary cking mostly, my guess. Ferdinand Piech bought Ducati in a whim, he got grilled for it, and I bet your he will pour some serious money to make it competitive to get back at his critics.

In a way, he has earned it, dude made VW group HUGE.

I hope that Ben's new steed doesnt suffer from as many issues as the production Panigale...but we know his history with mechanical failures...

I agree with the "just a paycheck" thought.
Ducati has had the best rider in the history of motorcycling on their bikes for 2 years and has been lucky to see the top 5 on occasion.
No real reason to think Ben will have better luck. It's possible they can get a handle on it, and Ben will do well, iyt's also possible that he will be there for a year and jump ship. Maybe even go back to WSB.
