Beltway 8 free ?

The HOV is cool for us so is the toll road free for motorbikes its a pain in the dealing with change and stuff with gloves on.

If its not free do you think it should be for motorbikes or should we pay the toll like the elitist cagers()

Get an eztag registered for your bike. The ones for bikes are still that bulky ugly square thing. Remove the insides and mount it in your bike. In case you get pulled over, show the cops you have an eztag. If they run your plates, it'll come back valid. You won't really get charged.

Sure is. Unless you do it twice a day over a month at the same times, going to work. Then they have an officer waiting on you one morning to ticket you for the toll he sees you run. I still only paid twent bucks for running over 200 in tolls though

Back in 1998-2002 when I was commuting from Katy to The Woodlands on a bike, the beltway used to be free and I took it every day. The best part is because my company moved my job up there they had to reimburse my mileage over 25 miles and any tolls but they didn't request reciepts so I got reimbursed for three and a half years of each-way tolls that I never actually paid in the first place! I ended up being reimbursed with more than what I paid for the bike (Yamaha XJ550).
Those were the days, I wonder why they changed the rules.

Belt 8 is still free, as long as you stay on the feeder roads

Beltway 8 is still free, where there are toll sections it is an exit off the Beltway and becomes Sam Houston Tollway. Only section I know that has no option (either pay toll or turn around) is going over the ship channel on the Jesse Jones bridge.

I haven't paid a toll since 03. Use it multiple times a day also. Hoping my mom never remembers about the EZtag she got me for college.
