Ebay question......

Saturday I was browsing through Ebay looking for some upgrades for my dirtbike. I came across a sweet Pro Circuit exhaust and decided to buy it along with a jet kit.

Monday morning I recieved the email saying the item has been shipped with a tracking number.

It is now Wednesday and the item hasn't actually been recieved by UPS yet. I have sent two emails with no reply.

Is this normal or should I call ebay and file a complaint?

usually the first thing they send you a shipping label, like its about to ship.

only when it actually gets picked up by UPS is it actual enroute

Wouldn't worry about it. The online updates for shipping are .

I've had one not even be registered as picked up (for like a week), two hours later its delivered and 10 entries are made that show its transport dates/times, etc.. all the way up to delivery.

I actually called UPS last night and they confirmed it hasn't been dropped off..

And what about the no reply of the emails I sent?

I have actually received items from Ebay before it notified me that they were shipped. Don't worry about it unless it is past the estimated delivery date.

You're not actually buying anything from ebay. The seller seems legit and may just be really busy dealing with high volume

I have had it happen with on line suppliers not just ebay... the package showed up before there was any shipping info on the USPS site, and i had a tracking number...
have never had it happen with ups or fedex. With ups i did have a package show up while the tracking info said it was still in memphis.

+1

I recently bought a bunch of parts for a guitar that I built and UPS sent the to the Walmart distribution center on the other side of town from me, and when I called them about it they verified my home address as where it was delivered, and signed for.

UPS blows.

I wound up having to go to the distribution center and pick it up myself, once they found it 2 days later.

Nothing to worry about. I've received that same message on many shipments

That looks like the seller has packed it up ready to go and slapped an UPS label on it. Probably sitting at his shipping dept and may have gotten skipped on that last pickup.

You wanna talk scary, how about the UPS tracking system says they've dropped the package off at your front door, and it ain't there? That happened just recently and is probably the most unsettling feeling a buyer can get. It turned out okay in that case, and UPS did finally delivered it two days later. It was two LONG days.

All in all, though, I'll take UPS over USPS any day. FedEx is best in my experience.
