Do me a favor and don't put a wider tire on the rim. Give yourself a chance to get used to the feel of it before you start making changes to it since you have been riding i4s. The SV was designed for the 160 tire and it gives it a certain finesse when riding it. Granted the more drastic tip in seems unnatural for your current riding style but it grows on you.

As for OOMPH ... you can do a variety of things such as :

1) PC3
2) Bore it out to an 883.. there are several companies that do this.. you take off your engine, send it in... they send you one thats been modified.
If I can't eat it, race it or sleep with it then whats the point?
