Visiting Jason at Hermann

Everyone I know this is VERY last minute news, but if you can I'm going to visit Jason tomorrow. We can meet in Katy (Mason/I10 around 5pm and at 59N/Kirby at Shell station (5:45pm) like to be a the hospital at 6pm. Not sure if you heard but they are going to remove his leg tomorrow. I know he can use all support he can get. I've already spoke with his sister and she gave the OK to have a group come and visit. Only draw back can have 2 visitors at a time :(. I'll be riding up there do that parking is $$ but bikes are free.

Man I'm very sorry to hear that they couldn't save it.
Any news on the driver that caused the accident?

maybe I misread or misunderstand the posts so far...
they are taking his leg off today and you want folks to go see him this evening...
is he really going to be ready to see folks so fast ?
I have never had the honor of meeting him, just not sure about the timing here...

I agree 100% with OBED. Unless OBED and I are missing some information, although the intention to show concern and camaraderie is awesome, i don't really know if it is appropriate for bunch of guys show up on bike gears and so, while we don't even know how some members of the family might feel about this. Especially during the time of tough decision. I may be wrong, but my thought is that this is the time for family and very close friends. I am always praying for Jason though.

Matt if you go tonight please let us know if it is appropriate for the rest of us to go in for a visit. Check with his family and see if it's ok then let us know, but most of all see if Jason is ok with it.
Thanks in advance.

And they have saved the leg at this point, but Jason is making a decision for better quality of life, a LOT less pain & suffering, and a future of being able to do more things.
What a tough decision to have to make. Just awful

M@tt, I get off work here in Katy at around 5:30 (if I'm lucky) then after I have to go and try to get the bike running before the meet...

After 9:30 I can or I can shoot for another day..let me know

Makes sense and I'm sure others are feeling this way. I bet Jason won't be sitting around crying about his unfortunate luck, he'll be working towards recovery and looking to the future positively.

I agree. Jason is type of guy that if there was a ride plan to visit another Houston rider that crashed he would be there. Maybe you didn't know Jason but to show him you're here for him is priceless. I have been to TMC many times visit other riders I didn't know that well, but I felt good showing my support. In the long run that's more then enough.
