If your having to take a few links out I would just get new chain and sprockets. Not a lot of money anyways

Sori . I gotta run the kids back home to their moms house. I could give you a hand-show you what to do later this week. I live in Spring though.

you can buy a kit for more "tug" down low in the rpm or a different kit for the top end

are you taking a few links out of a new chain or are you trying to take up slack on an old chain? if it's an old chain, no way in would I recommend doing what you want to do.

if you need to take few links off a new chain, i can show you how to do it, (i have chain/ rivet tool) but if you are trying to take few "links" off the old chain, just like witchdoctor said....

if your chain stretched that much and you need to take few links off to make it work, i would suggest you to get a new chain, and sprockets. chances are your sprockets are just as bad as your chain.

let me know if you need help

once a chain starts on the downhill slide, it will stretch faster and faster till it just breaks. last chain I replaced, it would stretch and need adjusting every couple hundred miles. got old fast

530 should be the Oem size for it, it would last longer than 520, 520 x ring is great chain...

but you will need to buy new sprockets to match it....
