Betting its a rental.

I don't think any real people buy Avengers - just rental car companies...

You guys aren't afraid of people stealing your bikes?

Do ya'll register the bike for parking? There's a lot of people who ride and don't register and park anywhere they want. So when they get a ticket, it wouldn't matter cause they're not registered in the system. I've seen quite a handful of students who do that

back when i worked in the tire shop at sam's, someone parked in the same square behind my bike. so as i finished a customers car, i boxed him in.

funniest ever. he sat there for a very very long time. b/c it was a drop off pick up.

Uh moto permits are free. and even if you dont register, they can always pull up your info from dps and mail you a ticket. if the vehicle is registered to your parents, they will just match up address and freeze your account so you cant register.

and OP. i see your bike at china star all the time. how do you just park it there? china star is private lot and not part of UH parking. or is it? Just wondering.

Im in the law school so i park in the lot just across from the lofts in the motorcycle parking.

i believe your lp is linked to the dps database. they can look it up there and send you a letter in the mail.

I certainly don't want my bike stolen but I do have insurance so I'm not going to let that dictate if I ride my bike to school or not. Parking on the other hand dictates how I get to school .

Some of my bikes are registered and some are not. But no matter how many I have registered I have only been able to get 1 permit mailed to me. I need to call and find out what's up with that.

I only got 1 sticker too, but never pulled the backing off. I just used painters tape to hold it on to whichever bike I'm riding.

Hey man, just finished UHLC in December. Let me know if I can send you any outlines.

Parking-wise, don't be afraid to park your bike in the motorcycle parking area in the faculty lot (just behind the gate). I parked there for a year and never had anyone question me about it, nor did I ever receive a citation. I never saw a bike there other than mine. Ever. And there's a shade tree there for the hotter days.

As far as I know that lot is part of the UH motorcycle lots. Me and two other guys have been parking there for an entire semester with no complaints, tickets, or problems. I live in the lofts and that's the most convenient place to park.

As for worrying about my bike getting stolen...KLRs are not exactly in high demand. The parts are cheap not much black market need for em. And it's too big to roll into a van.

I try to stick to parking in the motorcycle spots around campus but when I have class at the CAM building I usually find a nice little spot behind the dumpster in between those concrete blocks. Been doing it for a year now and no tickets or problems. I did have on guy get mad and start telling me to go find a spot...I think he was just mad that I didn't have to fight for parking like he did

I do believe that comment is what we commonly refer to as "sarcasm", could be wrong though.
