that , volunteer for everything. do everything you possibly can and don't give up no matter what. what are you afraid of? getting yelled at? looking stupid? these things will all happen in the real world, might as well have it happen asap so you can learn from it. if you do become some kind of junior flight leadership just remember that training is training and while you may learn some things in 'leadership' (DI gopher) positions in your training, nobody will care once you graduate. still worth it imo.
