typical. i just love how the criminal is somehow always protrayed as the "victim". the family's response is nothing less than the reason the punk did what he did. now jesse jackson and al sharpton are gonna be all over this and turn it into a racial issue. officer did the wrong thing though. shoulda unloaded on that sumb!tch.

"JEEZUS MAN! WHY'D YOU SHOOT HIM 18 TIMES?!!"

"i ran out of ammo."

if you wanna steal stuff, be prepared for the consequences. don't like it, don't steal stuff.

Here's my logic...if you shoot the people stealing from you in the night, pretty soon there won't be people stealing from you in the night. Kinda like chewing gum in Indonesia or cussing in St. Kitts. Punishment so extreme the idea of engaging in the illegal act instantly seems foolhardy, even to the 15 year old kids, ignorant to the constraints of reality.

My favorite quote of the piece was the reporting retelling that the family told police the kid was out with his cousin the night before. Seems like the manhunt for the second perp is gonna be wrapped up pretty quick.
