Dude get the 750. I came from a 600 also and with what your saying about not getting all the use from the 1000 is kinda how i felt at the time. You wont be dissapointed!

is that the new V neck race suit? nice bike, but for real is that a one piece suit? for the track,my bro is looking for a yellow/black one piece suit,he rides the VIR track, let me know, that track is the shiaat.its better than it looks on t.v. and it is fun to ride.

yup get the 750,its plenty power you need for street and track, just go one tooth down in the front, and ur set,i mean ull never put a 1000 to its full potential on the streets.750 will do the same/and or better than a 1000. i think mine is just perfect, ask some of these 1000 owners how many times they get schooled by a 750 on the streets, power band on those kick in and by the time they get it under control,ur gone coming up to some sort of obstacle whether it be a turn,or cages, simply they will not be used to thier full potential.so i recommend a 750,call FRANK at RICHMOND SUZUKI. let you know whats up and then you can decide for yourself.
just my 35 cents

Rick, it's a one piece suit, but not for the track! I had it made in Bogota' South America a couple years ago. The guys there know leather, but not race leather. I just use this suit on pretty days as my street riding is not about speed, it's just to show off my bike and be a good representative on the street! no need for speed, I save that for the track!

I think for the most part, bikes are just getting out of hand in the power area! Technology is surpasing most/many/all riding skill levels. There in no need for anything ridiculously large in cc for the street, speed limits are still posted and should be abided to at least some degree. It's difficult not to go FAST on these bikes!
As for leathers, shop!! There are so many ways to go, custom, off the shelf, check ebay, they have some cool leathers with logos which make you look instantly like a pro for a much lesser price. But I don't know how they actually handle in a crash, but they are leather so they would be better than nothing!
I go by how I feel when riding (genreally alone), somedays I may wear full race leather, other days I may wear jeans and a light jacket, but always gloves, helmet, and ride with much awareness!

Girls shouldn't be ridiculed for riding ever. There are girls at the track that I would love to be able to keep up with even by half! I have my race license, but I did that just for fun, but never planned to race. Im in it for the socialization, comoradery, and being with people that enjoy the same!

cool~ I'll more than likely just trailer my bike over there, hopefully Alexis (my youngest will be with me and get to tag along). You'll love her, she is a hoot!
But seems like she always has something going on with school/band! I wish she hadn't taken band sometime, but I did, and I know how involved it can be and it is fun! Darn, I need to call Progressive and put insurance on the darned thing!! lol

I'm not sure If I'll be bringing the GSXR though I do have room on my trailer for both the TLR and gixxer. I want to put some time on the Gixxer on the street and build up some confidence in the bike before hauling on the track, kind of daunted my confidence in its introduction!
