this year I got on the bike 3 times to go down the street and pick some up from auto zone with just a helmet and gloves.

I use my gear all the time to go to work or go out riding, when it comes down to ride lest then 5 miles and just around the hood then I will think about it and think about and think about.. just thinking should I go with just a helmet? its really hot!!!!

I really dont mind when people ride with out a jacket, but I really do care for them when they just have a helmet on and trying to keep up with fast riders and doing twisties.

I rode this morning at 7:30 am in Sugar Land: beat the heat by starting early. Or, I will ride between 7:30 pm and dusk. The tree tunnels in First Colony drop the temps by ten degrees at least. Full gear, all the time.

I prefer wearing a textile jacket even in the 100's. I'm casper-white so the jacket keeps me from burning to a crisp without greasy sunscreen.

I have pretty much stopped riding the streets since getting into track. But... When I do decide to ride I've been guilty of no jacket, and sometimes even wearing shorts. But I also am

nope, I just ride with my camel back more often now. I switched from cold water to just straight ice. Its been so hot that by the time I need a drink I have water ready, its sucks the water that's in the line gets REALLY warm so I have to blow it back into the bladder then drink it.

I have lost enuff skin to stupidity (on my part). At my advanced age scars won't help chicks dig me. Only money could do that and I don't have much of that either.
