Working with Composite Materials

I'm looking to start working with some composite materials (fiberglass, carbon fiber) just to do some little projects to mess around with.

Anyone have any experience?

Does anyone know a place around houston that sells supplies for this? Probably like a boat shop or something, but if someone does this sort of work and knows a place that sells materials (Not wholesale. I'm not made of that kind of money) that would be great thanks.

Thanks. I knew about West marines, but just thought they were a brand and didn't realize they had store fronts. I'm guessing you go up to the store near spring?
