Keep an eye on the Meet and Greets section.
BW3, Waffle House, Coaches, Racers Road, Navasota, Fayetteville....

Come out to the meets, you don't need a bike to come by and meet some fellow riders early. Get your license and hope to see you around.
definitely don't need a license to see boobies!

First off, welcome!

I took my MSF @ Awesome, and loved it. It's a good all-around introduction for general riding. When you start hittin' the streets a lot of stuff from the class will come back to you, and you'll wish you paid even more attention.

You might find that you'll rather stick to parking-lot practice for the first few weeks, then to quiet neighborhood roads for a little while, then to "reg'lar" roads in light traffic. Doubt you'll want to take a highway trip for a while - but part of riding is learning at your own pace, and learning some things the hard way.

PS - nice bike... hope to see you soon.

JRxGRUBZx sent you a pm..

these meets are sounding cool. I'll definitely try to head out to the next one.

Lol i've kinda been riding a little bit here and there. no parking lot practice, mostly my neighborhood and been going on 10 doing loops a few times. Its been a ton of fun!

Embarrassing as this is, i'll tell the story. i bought a silverstar ultra for Nikki so i thought i'd try it out tonight. call it beginners luck or something lol, but i ran out of fuel in the middle of the freeway . didn't panic, just put clutch in and coasted over to the shoulder. luckily i wasnt too far from an exit so i pushed myself down the ramp and parked it. bike wouldnt start with the reserve selected so i sat for a bit to think on the situation. after about ten minutes i switched to reserve again and it started up!! rode to a gas station then home. fun night...

That happened to me on my first bike ever. Working nights and I was riding to work on 59 S just past the Westpark curve and the bike dies. It was about 11pm so very little traffic. I went to the Shell on the feeder and Hilcroft, bought a gas can, filled up and off I went. Learned to reset my trip odometer on EVERY bike after EVERY fill up and keep an eye on it.

Is Nikki your wife? That's awesome if you got your girl a bike too.

Let us know when you get your license, we can take a chill ride out early one morning if you'd like some practice.
