Ok, I m able to provide some more information now. The commute would be from somewhere in kingwood (say kingwood Drive and Lake Houston Parkway) and nearby BW8 and 290. There are several routes and the vary from the longest to the shortest in not more than 6 miles and 10 minutes in time. What do you guys think?

Experiment with all the possible routes and see which one works best taking into consideration traffic, time and fun factor.

Of those all, the most irritating was san felipe. End of the day meant getting on
The feeder, going south to the light, making a u turn, going north on the feeder to the on ramp. Two lanes of cars on a single lane ramp onto 610... the craziness seems to escsalate as the proximity to the galleria itself increases.

Almost 20 years across those routes... in rush hour. It's a thing for those younger or more suicidal than myself. Theres something seriously wrong when a distance of 30-40 miles can easily take 2-4 times as long to traverse.
I hear you man. I haven't commuted the Galleria on bike, but I live in the area. The Galleria (San Felipe & 610 through the 59 & 610 intersection) is a cluster...

To the OP I would suggest finding some back roads around the area to get you to the highway... Something about the deadstopped traffic makes cagers want to gun it at every opening they get... I prefer to be a moving target.

It looks like you're only traveling to 290 BW8 though, so if that's the case you'll be going against traffic both ways. Not too bad.

I hate commuting on the bike. luckily I mainly ride in and out during non-rush hour traffic.
