08gsxr600 exhaust

Was wondering if you could do the shorty exhaust like on the 06-07 models?
Any help would be appreciated!

I did mine at home. Bought an 06- 07 2bros slip on for my 08. 06-07 has the slip on connection in front of the cat. I basically cut the exhaust infront of the cat, filed it smooth, then slipped on the 06-07 kit. You don't have to remove the exhaust set valve. I went by a DIY thread with pics I found on the web at the time. took maybe 3 hrs.

FWIW the 2 bros installed without a cat was headache loud. I ended up getn the insert baffle (which was still crazy loud), then made a 2nd baffle from an 1 1/4" copper 90 to insert inside the can.
