My father use to say. Son, you don't own the road. He was right, I don't. I just want to go down it. People who drive side by side at the same speed think they own the road. Rant is done.

I finally said screw it and passed them in the turning lane. It drives me freakin nuts when people do that.

I am guilty of doing this sometimes.

I noticed in a car, I drive a lot more chill. But on a bike, I am usually impatient.

Bad idea... most people who drive slow do it because they cant drive/see like old people and idiots. I dont wanna bank on them being able to slow down fast enuff to match my speed before they hit me.

I've found that when i travel slightly faster than the average speed of traffic, most of my problems tend to come from the front. When i encounter a driver who appears distracted/drunk/high, I goose it and put as much distance between said dumbass and myself as fast as humanly possible.

Pass em and be done I say. There will always be idiots on the road.

I had an 18 wheeler cut across 3 lanes and I had to use the shoulder to get away. I held my horn down as I passed and told him he was number one once I was in front of him. Guy was a freakin idiot.

Shouldn't really matter, 3 car lengths is a lot of space. Most cagers only give one car length between each other.

Maybe in rush hour in stop and go traffic. 1 sec or 1 car length per 10 mph is the simple rule of thumb.
