I can totally relate to this guy. I was recently looking for a NA-T SC300 and wasted a lot of time and gas.

First SC I look is in Dallas and the guy says it is clean and runs great. I ask him specifically how the body is because I don't want to buy a car that needs a paint job. He said there was a couple dents on the hood but thats it.

I drive all the way to Dallas with cash in hand and the car had hail damage on the hood, roof and trunk. I drive the car and after going WOT twice the intercooler pipe pops off. No thanks.

Second Car was in Austin and seemed to be nicely modded and making 500whp so I thought it might be worth checking out. The guy tells me it has a new engine and the body is clean except for one scratch but that is the only damage.

I get there and instantly I notice the "scratch" is a crease in the 1/4 panel. There were also dents all over, scratches in the roof and cracked paint on the rear bumper. I open the hood and laugh. The engine looks like it sat out in someones yard for 10 years, the "custom intake manifold" looks like it was welded by a child, and it wasn't even running an air filter. So I say lets take it for a spin, he said he'll drive but I can ride in it (obviously a car of this caliber can't have just anybody drive it, lol) Tell me why a 500whp car didn't even spin its street tires on pavement while it was sprinkling?

The last car at was in Houston and was told it ran great but needed a downpipe. I get there and theres oil underneath where the car has been sitting, it wouldn't start without a jump, when it did start it wouldn't hold idle and stalled when they let off the gas, not to mention it had loose wires hanging everywhere. At that point they tell me "Yeah it's a project car" They couldn't tell me that over the phone? Anyone who is not blind can see that so why not disclose that before someone drives to look at it?

The icing on the cake was all the sellers were "Firm on the price" So I totally understand where this guy is coming from, it sucks to waste all that time and gas to look at overpriced junk.
