yeah, that is the cheapest i've seen it also, but it was at a place that didn't really do a full service. ie, tire pressure and fluids.

yeah, it's used to drain the oil. if you don't have this than you get oil all over the place. I think there is a skid plate and some other stuff that gets in the way of it just draining down to a bucket.

look guys, the only place i took my car to get it's oil change cost me 63 bucks. I thought it was high so i wanted to try this place. I'm not sure how much they were going to charge me, but i don't imagine it was going to be higher than 70 with tax. This would be the second time i will have taken this car in for an oil change since i've had it.

i was just looking for some empathy, not to be ridiculed for how much my oil changes cost.
