I had the same problem with my wife. NO is all I kept hearing. Your gonna die and we will never see you again. So I did my research on things (gear, types of bikes) safety stuff to let her know that I was serious about this. And eventually she came around to it. My parents didn't have much of a problem with it They just wanted me to be safe. My inlaws on the other hand they hate the idea, something that happen with my bro in law. And that recent death on 45 and broadway(R.I.P) that didn't help either. They still don't know but eventually ill tell them.

Just be safe bro. Like they have said do your research and show your parents that you like your life and don't wanna loose it.

bikes are fun till you go down...and i see riders going down all the time (including myself)..not always because it's the riders fault, but could be the fault of others.
I lost my best friend in a crash. Didn't even live to see 21. Feels like yesterday. Yes, he had all his gear on. He died in front of me, and there was nothing i could do to bring him back.

Gear will save your's the impact that kills.

I am addicted to motorcycles...quitting would be hard or next to impossible.

Yes motorcycles are fun, but at a very high price.
