i dont know ,but i use my clutch for upshift and downshift..

I generally just use the clutch (old habits die hard) but sometimes will do clutchless. Clutchless shifting is smoother (at least for me) so I figure there is probably no harm in doing it. Its your bike and if it makes you happy I say keep doing it. If you break it, you pay the bill, not anyone else.
