you want full exhaust or slip-on?

are you going for sound or performance?
remember, a slip-on wont give performance, just sound

Akrapovic looks badass on that bike. Had one for my Aprilia and they are really nice quality. Went to a shop and had all the exhausts available laid out on a table and the Akras were of the nicest quality by far.

I think the newer bikes don't have restrictive headers anymore. What restricting them is the exhaust can itself and the headers are titanium or some (at least the new zx10 and R1 is that way). Replacing the headers is not necessary anymore and u get the same gains out of a slip on and tune.

Some of the Akras are actually DOT approved so you can't get a ticket for them no matter what.

Definitely Akra on the S1000r....>they have a bad little slip on for them.... If you are looking for a power gain, then get the Akra full race system or Evolution.... You will still gain 8-10hp over a stock header.....its not what its made out of it, it is the diameter of the pipes and the size/merge of the collectors that make power....Not to mention the stepped/expanded design of the head pipes...

Full system
http://www.akrapovic.com/motorcycle-.../evolution-74/

Slip on

Get ready to spend some $$$.... but only the best for that bike IMOP....

Another good option at a better price would be a Brock's system for it.
