it could be related to the brakes but we'll know better tomorrow!

Nice. Nothing like an opportunity for a nice long ride to go tinker with motorcycles.

Have a blast, floyd600!!

The pads look good from the pics
It sounds like it's either chain/sprocket related or rear wheel bearings.

Yeah but is like to get the opinion of another rider. I could just be making all this up in my head. The more and more I look and think about it its the chain rubbing something because it only happens when I break or slow down and when I first leave from a complete stop but once o get going it feels sounds fine but I'm meeting Floyd in about 10 min so I'm sure he will know more than iol

I'm betting it's the chain needing lube. A dry chain can make some funky noises, a little squirt and everything is better.

Lol sooo he and I both agree its probably the chain. So I'm just gonna get a sprocket kit and replace both of them and the chain in the meantime I'm gonna lube it up and see if it helps.

NICE MEETING YOU BILLY.

so yes! its the chain.... its rusted and dry. so you can hear the O rings/chain when going slow... once you moving with all the wind noise and the engine you don't hear it.

bike has 16k on it and it has the factory chain, its worn out already.
(very nice bike by the way)

I'LL POST SOME INFO FOR YOU TO KNOW BUDDY.

and last thing.... most chain last about 20k+.
Billy just got the bike so there are a lot of things for you to know, and been a new rider there are also other things to know about your bike, about services and things to do at what mileage or so... things that no one tells you until you have a problem!

Good luck to you and ride safe!

(hope that wasn't too much info for you )
