not speaking for the other female riders on mh but i know for me, i dont really come to a lot of the motohouston meets because a large portion of the guys there dont really speak to me and when they do it is like they are trying to show me up and play the whole "you're a chick, so i automatically ride better than you" card.... just my .02. i put together a m&g on the SE side a while back which had a fairly large turnout and i tried walking around and introducing myself to everyone and was basically brushed off by a lot of the people there (except the other female riders). so if this is a regular thing then maybe that is why there are not a lot of female riders at the meets.

I see where you coming from, but myself I don't drink and there times I go to a meet and greet at a bar. Hey if the next person drink thats on him all I have to say is, "Ride Safe!" Most of the guys on MH that drinks they know there limit, its going to be hard pushing that one buddy. As for us being non-drinkers we have to be on the look out for our fellow MH'ers that are drinking and stop them when we know they had way to many or tell them its enough for tonight just being the look out for them you know. Sorry man you got to include the alcohol it's Mandatory!

RedTalon, Pester is from Mexico, he says he can type but sometimes he doesn't make sense!!!! Pester, you need to shut your pie hole

RedTalon, I can understand what you mean as I have ridden with hardley and chopper guys for most of my experience and that's the way most bikers are, actually our Katy/Cypress group is the most relaxed, open minded, and least gender specific of bikers I've seen. In my experience, Chicks on bikes are something of a rarity, but if you don't get out there often enough it's hard to improve the reputation of the female community which as of now is nil (with the exception of Azylum and his private bbq's or Mala and hers) I've been to a few of the meets and rides and have never seen a female rider, so there is no representation. I take that back, last Wednesday Asami showed up at the Katy/Cypress and I was not there. I hope to see more females in the future because I know they are out there and it sucks that they cannot be a part of the group meets because of the way they are treated or the way they fear they will be treated. Biker chicks have to be tough but you know any of your biker friends will jump at the drop of a hat if you are in a jam.

The new skool needs to learn how to do it like old skool. The la hacienda meets were the and everyone was there. No prizes or bs.....just all moto family kicking it, eating and having a good time.

Maybe we can put one together again?

^ Speaking of old school, I was there in the JCI days on westhiemer and it was something! 200 bikes in one parking lot is a lot to behold! Granted only half the people new each other and, it got a little out of hand with the squidding toward the end of the nights, then the cops started showing up to monitor, then the owners of JCI started to get . The deal was, you don't have to eat, but at least buy a drink or snack so the parking lot wasn't full of loiterers. Then the attraction of the police and lack of customers coming into the diner or being able to drive-thru tilted the scale.

being tough isn't an issue. my whole life most of my friends have been guys so i know how guys act and the whole macho guy thing isnt new to me. i have gone to meets around here countless times and ridden with mala quite a few. but at the same time going to meets isnt any fun when you sit there by yourself the whole time because no one will talk to you or they sit there and make fun of you with comments like "what does she think this is? moto gp" because i have stomp grip on my bike. i have been at meets where other females have shown up to and i watched the guys ignore them too. i have noticed most of the female riders tend to stick with motorcycle clubs where they are more accepted. so just putting it out there.

That would be hard...But I see your point...

good luck with that one... unless you want to have a meet on sunday mornings before church at an ihop. what about the vegetarians? so what if they offer non meat meals... i do say lets not have a meet at a bar but to rule out all drinks is silly imo
We try and try explaining that

Yeah The second paragaph I agre with, it's about knowing your limits and self control.

I really think it's that happened to you ad at your meet, but believe me, I try to talk to everyone that comes out to my meets because I appreciate each person coming out, taking time off their day to chill with us.

You should come out some time. There is talking at our meets, but it's all in good fun and everyone gets their share

Well, if you come out sometime you might be pleasantly surprised...

Hope Asami can chime in a little, she's been the first lady to venture out with us.

Alcohol and driving should never mix. Alcohol and motorcycles is just retarded, whether you *think* you can handle your alcohol or not. That's just my opinion.
