yeah out in katy was like $2.60 gallon... they so hype up the high gas prices I haven't seen a single story about them going back down. maybe they are afraid if they make a big deal it will end and they will go back up!

I am just glad this is such great timing I'm going to san antonio this weekend I hope it holds out till.

I've been telling friends prices were going to go down to around 2.50 a gallon. I don't see that it will get any lower than this however. It might be possible for sales to go up for the Auto Industry but not enough to recover for there major losses.(Ford, Dodge and Chevy Trucks) Too bad! I've heard of Toyota coming out 2007 with a diesel engine. Also 2007 Toyota Tundra is changing the entire truck. Don't really know what gas mileage it'll get but I'm in the market for a new truck for next year. Pray the gas prices keep falling and the oil reserves stay full everyone.

yeah word on the street is that nissan is developing a diesel for its titan (which makes sense since their gas v8 already tows 10.5) and that toyota will probably have a diesel for their new truck within 2 years of its introduction.
Jeep will be offering bluetec diesels in some of its SUVs over the next couple years (thats the mercedes diesel and its smooth as ). VW is trying to get its small diesel (1.8) to pass stricter us diesel emissions standards.
But in summary as urea injection is perfected and diesels meet US emissions requirements we will probably see several new diesels being introduced, hopefully not just in trucks but some like the VW and the mercedes E320d(which by the way is the only passenger car to have a diesel engine in the US for the model year we are in) which will get good gas mileage too.
