I am familiar with the d16rr, but by civilian version I mean one that mere mortals can afford. When Aprilia came out with the V4 it was in all of their new sportbikes, I just wonder why Ducati only puts them in their MotoGP bikes. The D16RR is basically an older generation MotoGP bike. Would be kind of cool to have to two engine (2 and 4 cylinder) configurations by the same company on a similar bike, but I know the economics probably don't work for something like that.

^^the real desmo has internal parts designed for the race track and do not last too long, for reliability and cost reasons they decided to put longer lasting but heavier internal parts for the street version so the owners of this race "replica" wont have to spend 25k in parts every 1500 miles!^^
