It doesn't really look like he was "on his ." And that is the fast lane. "Slower Traffic Keep Right" is the law on Texas.

I think one of my biggest gripes about other drivers is their improper use of the fast lane. If you're not passing someone, or taking a left-hand exit, then there is NO reason to be driving in the left lane. It is the 'passing' - 'fast' lane.
Right?

Squids live in the ocean.

In the deep blue sea.

I just mean that there is no reason to drive/ride in the passing/fast lane.

It's just common courtesy. The law may apply to vehicles travelling slower than the speed limit - officially - but practically it should apply to all vehicles. I just know that when I pass someone I move back to the right as soon as I'm clear, regardless of whether or not there is another car coming up behind me. I just don't drive in the fast lane. I leave that one for people going faster than I am.

Beat-up road surface, merging traffic, and other factors are usually just temporary hazards that you pull left to avoid. I consider this like passing.
I guess the point that I'm trying to make is that there is no reason to be driving 60, in a 60, in the left hand lane, while you could be driving in the right hand lane. The right lane is for driving, the left lane is for passing (or avoiding obstacles.)
I just hate it when I come up on somebody in the left lane who has matched their speed with a vehicle in the right lane, thereby creating a rolling road block. Yes, this is the extreme and most bothersome example of this scenario, but even at the lesser extent it is still pretty annoying to have to pass slower moving traffic on the right.

I don't mean to argue this point to death, I just mean, why drive in the left lane when you can safely drive in the right lane?

Oh, and I searched the Texas traffic code, and couldn't find any law about "fast lane traffic,"

I wonder if that really exists, or if it is a figment of my IMGNTN?

I know other states have "failure to keep right" laws.
