If you don't want to wear gear then that's your choice.I think it's stupid to call somebody a squid cause they are wearing shorts and shoes. Your dumb if you don't wear a helmet but that's your choice. I been life flighted twice already and have spent a year and a half of my life in hospitals. I ride the streets with gloves and my helmet. That's my choice. I get people all the time saying " wait till you go down". Well guess what i have, i know what it feels like, but i choose not to ride in full leathers. This whole taking pic of people riding around town is pretty stupid. Ok my rant is over

Not wearing full gear is stupid. Unless you want road rash it is never a good or smart decision to not wear full gear.

Now don't take that as me saying YOU are stupid for doing it or that I want to force you to wear all the gear all the time. Everyone is free to ride how they like in my world view. I always wear my jacket and helmet but a lot of the time I go without gloves or proper pants and boots.

That being said if you do something stupid you will get mocked for it. I might see myself in a pic on this thread one day. Likewise I like Glee, and fully accept the fact that makes me look like an idiot. Mock away.

Squids ride in a stupid manner, one can ride in a safe manner w/o gear. Lack of 'gear' is one aspect of being a squid, it does not make one a squid. Constantly referring to those lacking gear as squids, could imply one is a scrub on the other hand...

He's not a squid. Look there's a helmet right there. And those tattoos will protect him from the road rash.

I like to ride with people who value safety as much as possible. Wearing gear shows they at least value their own hide but I really Don't care one way or another

So u can have a guy in full leathers riding to the wall through traffic and one guy wearing pants and a helmet just riding slow and chillen. Sounds like judging a book by its cover.

COVER exactly
and if they both went for a slide assuming they didnt slide into anything the guy in leathers would walk away unscathed at any speed. the guy just chillin would be road rashed to going 40 mph. But again I dont care what others do(to each there own) I just thought the guy in the pic looked perfect for this here thread.
I would not refuse to ride with someone without gear, but I wouldnt want to be xchanging numbers to be going riding in the future thats all
