fought it... and lost.

what me off is that the judge said that he believed me. the cop had no evidence there, but i had no evidence either to PROVE i was not guilty. he said that based on the cops 8 years with DPS that he wouldn't write a ticket unless he knew for sure so he has to go with the cops judgement and issue a verdict of guilty.

he said that had i made a motion to reset the date for a month to give the cop time to bring in the video that he claims to have had, or if i would have had Riaz there to admit that he was the one speeding, i would have been not guilty, but i didn't do either of those things.

in the end though, he let me change my plea to no contest so there would not be a guilty verdict going on my insurance

So would he let you have deferred adjudication? Defensive driving? .....Does no contest send it to your driving record?

Thats exactly why I don't try to fight tickets myself....those crooked bastards will ALWAYS F you..... Lawyer FTW...

I got a ticket right now in Texas City I am going to attempt to get Deferred on by myself...if not, it will go to the lawyer....
